CANCER

Positive traits

A good squirrel to put in charge of nut counting and paperwork, no matter how tedious the job, the Cancer Squirrel can entertain his friends with fantastical stories, so other squirrels are naturally drawn to him - This is the squirrel who will dig and dig and dig and dig to get to that one last nut, never giving up - If you happen to have toilet paper stuck to your foot or a piece of debris stuck to your tail, he will quietly let you know

Negative traits

Some days, for no good reason at all, will stare moodily at the world - Once a nut is in his possession, very possessive and prone to emotional displays and ire if anyone dares even look at his nut.

Relationships

Naturally loving and totally committed to both nestbox and their human, Cancer should always have interests outside the nestbox, such as photography of nuts or setting up nut treasure hunts or they could find themselves mooning silently about, waiting pitifully for their human to show up with the next round of pats and treats.

Career

The caring professions (the healing power in those tiny paws!) and sometimes bookkeepers and accountants (Credit: 36 acorns, Debit: 347 pecans). They are single-minded in whatever work that they do (“Got to, got to got to dig dig dig that hole!”), and are caring of their workmates (“I truly did not mean to toss that dirt in your general direction; my most abject apologies Sir”).  They rarely become rich, counting nuts in their nestbox, but achieve great personal happiness.

Leisure

Scampering through rain puddles and even through the rain is the perfect sport for Cancer, as they have such an affinity with the element of water. They are also attracted to dancing and are good at organized dances such as Line-Dancing.  Watch your lawn closely for evidence of these goings-on!
